Pricing & Billing FAQ
Answers to the questions we most commonly receive about our plan structure, billing process and eligibility.
Yes. Our Visitor plan is entirely free and requires no registration. It gives you open access to all our major field site guides covering the principal archaeological sites and museum collections across Egypt, plus all our visitor planning articles, day-trip frameworks, city heritage overviews and historical period summaries. For most individual travellers planning a visit to Egypt, the Visitor tier contains everything you need. No account is created and no payment details are ever taken. If your needs extend to specialist research, personalised planning or access to our full archive, the Researcher plan is the appropriate next step.
The Researcher plan includes everything in the Visitor tier plus access to our specialist archive of over 120 additional guides covering less-visited sites, specialist period topics, conservation history for individual monuments and our museum object commentary. It also includes two personalised itinerary planning sessions per quarter — where you submit your travel parameters and one of our researchers produces a tailored day-by-day schedule — two direct researcher consultation hours per quarter via video call or written correspondence, our quarterly conservation status digest covering all major sites, access to seasonal excavation summaries, and full access to our chronological and site reference databases. The plan is billed at EGP 4,800 per year. Postgraduate students at accredited universities may apply for a 50% discount. Contact us to discuss terms.
Yes. The Institutional plan at EGP 18,000 per year covers up to 25 named staff users, but we can accommodate larger organisations on negotiated terms. Custom arrangements have been made for organisations requiring 50, 100 or more users, and for institutions that need different combinations of services — for example, a museum that requires archive access and educational packs but not researcher consultation hours, or a university that needs a specific commissioned research programme. If the standard Institutional plan does not precisely fit your organisation's requirements, contact us with a description of your needs and team size and we will propose a custom arrangement with transparent per-user and per-service pricing.
Contact us via the enquiry form on our contact page, selecting "Institutional Plan" from the plan selector and providing your organisation's full legal name, billing address and preferred billing currency. We issue invoices in Egyptian Pounds for Egyptian institutions and in Euros for international organisations. Standard payment terms are net-30 from date of invoice. For organisations with different payment cycle requirements — net-60, for example, or quarterly instalments — please note this in your enquiry and we will accommodate where possible. VAT receipts and formal tax documentation are available on request. Our Tax ID (ETA) is 632-847-091, which should be referenced in any formal procurement documentation.
Yes. Postgraduate students enrolled at accredited universities and conducting thesis or dissertation research that engages with Egyptian archaeological or heritage material may apply for a 50% discount on the Researcher plan, reducing the annual fee to EGP 2,400. To apply, contact us via the enquiry form, select the Researcher plan, and note your student status, institution name and approximate thesis topic in the message field. We will request a scan of your current student identification card or an official confirmation of enrollment before confirming the discount. Undergraduate students receive free access to all Visitor-tier material. Students at Egyptian universities are eligible for the same discount on presentation of valid identification.
Fees are quoted and invoiced in Egyptian Pounds (EGP) for Egyptian residents and institutions. International subscribers are invoiced in Euros (EUR) at the rate current at the invoice date. We do not currently accept payment by credit card — invoices are settled by bank transfer to our corporate account in Cairo. For organisations in jurisdictions where bank transfer to Egypt presents procedural difficulties, we can in some cases arrange an alternative payment method. Contact us to discuss. Our banking details, including IBAN and SWIFT code, are provided on issued invoices. Do not send payment without a formal invoice number as a reference.
How to Subscribe
Subscribing to a paid plan requires no online payment portal. Our process is straightforward and documented at every stage.
Submit Enquiry
Use the contact form, selecting your chosen plan from the plan selector. Include your name, organisation (if applicable), and a brief note on your intended use. We acknowledge within one working day.
Receive Proposal
We send a subscription agreement document outlining exactly what is included, the term, the fee, billing terms and contact responsibilities. For institutional plans, a short call to confirm requirements typically precedes the proposal.
Invoice & Payment
On agreement, we issue a formal invoice. Payment is by bank transfer to our Cairo corporate account. Archive access and service delivery begin once payment is received and cleared, typically within 3–5 business days.
Onboarding
We send login credentials for the subscriber archive, introduce you to your point of contact on our team, and schedule your first consultation or planning session at your convenience. Institutional accounts receive a structured onboarding session for all named users.
